Unit of Inquiry
This week we are working to learn how to use colours to express our thoughts and ideas. We worked with hot and cold colours.

Language
We followed one-step and multi-step directions to work on our listening skills. We also wrote a list about hot and cold colours.

Mathematics
Some of the groups worked on number recognition while others continued to work on the concept of 'after.'

Unit Title: All About Me
Organizing Theme: Who we are
Central Idea: Every day we can learn about ourselves

We will develop our self identies, talk about our familes and develop and understanding of friendships and one another. We will begin this unit of inquiry during the autumn term and revisit it throughout the year.

Language
We will develop our language skills by learning new vocabulary and develop our grammar through play and other acitivites. We will develop our pre-reading skills by learning to recognize names, classroom signs and familiar words in our environment. We will also begin to look at rhyming, letter sounds and other phonemic awareness skills.

Mathematics
We will look at numbers 1-10 and develop pre-mathematics skills (sequence, size, etc)
